Providing Leadership in an Organisation

Providing Leadership in an Organisation Providing leadership for a team in an organisation       Task one 1. Give your brief history of your organisation and your role in organisation? United Flower Growers Ltd (UFG) is a company formed by the combination of grower-owned companies United Flower Auction Limited, and the flower operational arm of Market Gardeners Limited creating a truly unique and well-structured marketing organization that is totally focused to the needs of the New Zealand Flower Industry. It is located in 500 MT wellington highway in mt wellington. I am working as a supervisor in the company which is really hard for me I have to do lots of work to arrange auction. We arrange 3 auctions in a week. Auctions start at 6 am but we have to load the trollies before the auction so we start working at 3 am. UFG currently runs two physical in-house auction systems in Auckland and wellington. This auction runs on the Dutch Auction Method using an electronic clock system with the aid of an auctioneer. The clock descends anti-clockwise from a set start price and then decreasing in price until a buyer is wants to make a bid and accept the purchase price. The big advantage of this system is the speed, accuracy and fairness of the sales process. Fresh flowers are delivered the day before, overnight or early morning prior to the start of the auction. The flowers are sold on a non-preferential basis. The flowers are sold on a non-preferential basis. This means that provided product is received prior to the auction cut off time, the flowers can be sold at any time during the auction. Q2.state your Organisation visions and values, and then explain them in a way that is meaningful and would be understood to your team? Visions As an industry-owned company, our goals and objectives are almost identical to those of our suppliers and customers and to be alive in the flower industry for the 50 years. We will continue to work as industry partners with all involved in the NZ flower industry. Values Be friendly to customers. Responsible to your job Punctual to work Co-operative with other staff management. Name and fame of company. Q3.How do you know that your team understand your visions and Values? As a supervisor it is my responsibility to check with my team is they really understand the visions and values of the organisation. It can be done in many ways so I am going to describe following- Meetings- by doing meeting with my team members I can confirm that they got it or not. Feedback- at the end of the month I can take feedback from each staff member to make sure they understand the vision and values. Work performance- I think it is also a best way to make sure everybody is working on the expectations of the company; I can observe or supervise their work they are working good or not. Q4. Describe at least two leadership styles that you have used in the context of your work explain how you chosen your leadership styles influence others in your team to achieve your organisational goals and it is consistent with its visions and values ? Autocratic leadership is a leadership style controlled by individual control to make all the decisions. Autocraticleaders typically make choices based on their ideas and judgments and rarely accept advice from other team members. For example if I want to fire somebody from work whether he is working good or not, if I want to fire him I dont take any advice from anybody I just make my decision. Democratic leadership is a type of leadership style in which members of the group take a more participative role in the decision-making process. Everyone is given the opportunity to participate, ideas are exchanged freely, and discussion is encouraged. For example if I want to hire somebody so I will decide with my team members that are there any need to hire somebody or not. Q5. Providing examples of how you model behaviour that are consistent with your organisational visions and values? Group work is depending on the basis of individual partners. They need to trust, respect, and support each other. It can be anything at the workplace for example support and help if anybody need. Sharing Information Communication Patience Honesty Team work Ans6. Personal styles Friendly Every employer has a dream to have employees with glowing behaviours, making management of employees an easy task. Talk nicely with staff and customers. If any problem try to solve it with patience. Co-operative It means to respect, and support each other. It can be anything at the workplace for example support and help if anybody need. Working styles The Social Work Style Helpers The Investigative Work Style Problem solving The Conventional Work Style Organizers The Artistic Work Style Creates more plans Q7.Describe an example of a workplace situation where inconsistent styles were present, however you were able to provide support to individual and teams to achieve consistency? Ans7. I am a supervisor at UFG, as a supervisor I have to face many difficulties and to provide consistency in a team or a workplace is best option is to make team spirit in your working team that everyone in your team is to be friendly to every person of your team. An example for my workers not work properly like be lazy due to any cause I use leadership style democratic first discussing with all the staff about their working by individual meetings or staff meeting then after that see their working if they start working better so it is good but if not then apply autocratic leadership style by straight order to them or give them warning if the last time they do the same then harshly fire them from their job. Assignment Task Two Section 1 A. We can establish a team behavioural expectations and standards with some responsibility if we give responsibility to someone. One of the best key components of establishing a team is to setting expectations for the team members who are coming on my path way. 1. See the members interest in the company problems or anything happen in company that they take part in companys matter or not. 2. See company decision making skills by which you get a simple idea that companys members knows about all the characteristics visions and values of company. 3. The behavioural expectations of the team is seen in the general organisation. B. Yes thee agreed behavioural expectation and standards must be clear and consider and should be recorded in a format that meets your individual teams and organisational requirements. I can see effecting of each person from the gathering and all things considered, in case I see execution drop in a gathering or an individual, and have a meeting with him/her or gathering to energize that individual or gathering moreover help the individual or meeting in accomplishing their points and this improves the execution of the person. C. It must be align to with the organization vision and values it is very important for good work performance. If everybody is working according to the vision and values then we can work nicely. By watching s and groups advance and taking a gander at what objectives have been skilled and in the event that they coordinate with the relations values and vision. Minutes of meetings Staff meeting minutes: Meeting title- issues during work Date Wednesday, 1, March, 2016 Time of the meeting 11:00 am Area of meeting: Staff room Visitors Sandeep Open correspondence: none Attendees: karanvir Singh Sandeep Singh, Rajkawal Singh kamaljit Singh, Mandeep Singh Absentees: Arshdeep Singh, Rajvir singh Planes: 1. Need to look after the customers and satisfy them by giving incredible qualities of organizations. 2. Issue of parking. 3. Talk to the other staff and conform with them where we need more staff. Agenda Scene: auction room Time: 11 am Participants: Manager Happy Supervisor Karanvir Singh Administrator Sandeep Singh Group Leader-Rajvir Singh Minute taker: kawal Singh 1. Customer service 2. Parking issues of colleagues. 3. Need more staff. All agreed. Section 2 A) Problem in the working environment can be a positive technique if managed reasonably. Issues besides, issues are seen and directed in a split second. In the event that I continually ignoring issues that is without a doubt making issues my accomplices it might understand the lessened level of thankfulness between the accomplices and social event pioneer. To guarantee issues of accomplices are watched out for, I equip them with plan of their duties and assets. It is fundamental to screen my social occasion, uninhibitedly and taking all things into account to examine their issues and issues worry with their work and working environment endeavoring to see issues before they wind up being full scale issues. They give me responses on the movement of work and on the off chance that they require additional asset or time to complete the endeavor. Outline: Rajkawal required additional opportunity to arrange on the reference with the client association supplier (alluded to not) as the suppli er was away. B) I guarantee I have a sorted out talk with every individual from the social event and take a gander at any issues or bolster they require secluded from the meeting. Beginning late Dilraj clearly was late at work. On exchange with him I discovered he had transportation issues. Anmol goes from an undefined course from Dilraj and we examined the matter with Anmol why should merry give Dilraj transportation until his auto was settled. C) The achievement of any attempt relies on upon the duties of each individual from the total, yet two or three clusters arrange superior to anything others. Precisely when accomplices have an assessment particular proprietorship in the social event meander, accept that their obligations are respected, additionally, see that the attempt manager contributes nearly and exhibit others how its done, they feel affected to contribute their best work. By allowing to everybody to talk up and to share their contemplations, make everybody a pioneer, being an ordinary illustration and empowering proprietorship, these things demonstrates particularly pleasing to support the partners. I utilize the running with strategy to broaden unrivaled in the social event. I keep records of the progress .To make a region for accomplishment, by purging hindrances, setting an unmistakable vision and giving major mechanical gatherings and arranging. d) I allow my partners to stand up their viewpoints in the midst of our social events. Exactly when the whole assembling should be incorporated at the same time, I explore accord essential authority models. With these, each gathering part has the opportunity to give data and suppositions. All people discuss decisions until we overall agree on an answer. With understanding, theres frequently exchange off. Not everyone gets all that they require out of an official conclusion. Regardless, in light of the fact that everyone has sensible information, the decisions came to are often ones that all can live with. E) Enhance and support (1) Monitoring the work adequately (giving hopeful input and responding to issues in the work with gratefulness and offer) Anmol required additional some assistance with timing to complete his assignment in managing the Customer Service Course Provider. I comprehended that in this way of the inaccessibility of the supplier he was not set up to finish his work inside the time partition and required additional time. (2) Providing socio-anxious fortify (indicating support for a colleagues activities or choices; soothing unsavory conditions for subordinates; mixing; keeping accomplices instructed about upsetting conditions; tending; really appraisals; and uncovering individual data). I saw when Sandeep was not set up to complete his work and was underweight because of transport issues. I procured Sandeep and Manoj for a little espresso meeting to deal with his issue. Anmol was demonstrated support and vitality to help Sandeep. F) Mutual trust among individuals I develop my social affair on the initiate of their lord accomplishment all together for accomplices to regard each other. I see their accomplishment straightforwardly. I dont talk about bungles made by a partner despite his awesome certainty. I have to recognize with him stealthily and exhibit how he can overhaul his execution. Prohibit bits of jibber jabber inside the social event, keeping an open ear to stories which can contain hurting, adversarial or too much individual information on any individual from the get-together. This can be a basic inability to our social event. I ensure all individuals are overseen correspondingly as and no twofold standard obliged to any one individual from the social occasion. Distribute work in sensible way. Solve clashes in ace way. G) Encourage new thoughts that encourage viable cooperation I make a working environment where all suggestion, obligations and activities are welcome from specialists at all levels of the affiliation. I hold social affairs to create new considerations. Compensate staff for their exertion by offering impelling forces e.g. I gave Anmol trade compensate for getting out a Customer Benefit Course Provider who engineered with us and gave us an arrangement which was less exorbitant than some other relationship in our general region. Section 3 A) I interface with individuals outside the social occasion utilizing fitting correspondence channels. If they have an inclination for email, I email to interface with them or telephone call, faxet cetera. I do plan key delegates inside our social event on the best way to deal with manage the general people when observing request on touchy issues. In addition I utilize studies and reviews to assess and address issues. B) Some techniques for correspondence from people outside our gathering are by methods for email, phone calls, verbal correspondences, surveys, studies et cetera. C) With the cut-off points and experience and being an old staff of our organization together, karan was hopeless about his wages. There hadnt been any improvement to his pay inside the latest year. With the creating workload he was expecting a remuneration rise soon. He was crying of this matter on a few occasions. Associates were beginning to get exasperated by his difficulties. I had information from the head concerning the issue. I had visits with the money and back division if there can be pay climb in weeks to come. i promised them that Surjit is a resolute worker and no doubt we are experiencing workload starting at now. It is sensible to give him a compensation rise. Since contradictions and emerges are inescapable from social affairs, the best methodology is urging accomplices to learn sharpens that offer them some assistance with working through clashes and keep up careful working relationship in the meantime. D. The second issue was, there was a two individuals, one of my area of skill and the other of the other division were having strife with each other over some negligible issue and they were the primary communicators in the middle of both the offices they conveyed each others specializations data and were in this way essential in correspondence inside the offices and for the powerful working of the organization as they having a few issues with each other they used to overlook imperative datas sent from each other or werent notwithstanding sending any and were reprimanding each other for the disappointment which cost the association a lot as far as customers and notoriety, then they both were called attempted to mollify them two and instructed them to be proficient in work and on the off chance that they didnt work appropriately and the organization endures any further misfortunes they will be ended from there on they kept that hatred out of the workplace and began working legitimately . E. The healing move made for the principal example was to have a meeting with that representative and educated him regarding the significance of the client benefit and in the event that he doesnt enhances than stern move will be made against him. In the second case I apologized to the client and changed the standard and asked client that we can give the thing at a similar value we have posted on the flag on the off chance that he needs. A cellular network

A cellular network A cellular network is a radio network made of number of radio cells, each severed by fixed positioned based station. These cells stations cover several different areas and provide large radio coverage. In order for this to happen a variable number of portable transceivers can be used in any cell and moved through one cell during transmission. The use of multiple cells means that if the distributed transceivers are mobile and moving from one point to another point they should change also from cell to cell. This mechanism could be different according to the type of network and change of circumstances. In this case clear coordination between base station and mobile station is must in order to avoid communication interruption. The most common example of cellular Network is a cell or mobile phone, which is a portable telephone that could be dialled or receives calls through base station or transmitting tower. Radio waves transfer signal to and from mobile phone. The coverage area of service provider sometime is split into small cells in order to prevent signal losses and also a large number of active phones in the area. The range of signals could be different in cities and rural areas. All base stations are connected to mobile phone switches centre, which connect to a public telephone network or to another mobile company switch. As the mobile consumer moves from one cell area to another cell, the switch automatically commands the handset and a cell site with a stronger signal (reported by each handset) to switch to a new radio channel (frequency). When the handset responds through the new cell site, the exchange switches the connection to the new cell site. Modern cell phones networks use cell as radio frequencies are limited, shared resource, base stations and handsets change frequency and use low power transmitters in order that limited number of radio frequency can be used at the same time by many users with less interferences. To distinguish signals from a varieties of different transmitters, frequency division multiple access (FDMA) and code division multiple access (CDMA) has been developed. Advantage of cellular Network over other alternative solutions is: Increase capacity. Power usage reduced. Huge coverage area. Interference from other signals reduced. Reference paper 10 The evolution of the cellular Network started to flourish during the last years in which several different systems were developed; as a result we have first generation (1G), second generation (2G), third generation (3G) cellular networks and the trend is continuously increasing. The first generation (1G) was used from 1970-1980 and now is retired. In 1990 the second generation (2G) of Networks were launched such as Global System for Mobile communications (GSM), Personal Communications Service (PCS), and Integrated Digital Enhanced Network (IDEN) and so on. The second generation (2G) of networks replaced the (1G) and became very popular with digital processing, enabling wireless transmission of voice as well as data and have different Variety of new features such as a Push to Talk, Short Messaging service(SMS), caller ID, conference calling, voice mail, email messaging and so on. After the ongoing success of 2G, carriers to respond to the worldwide demand of the speed trend, they developed a robust interim generation of cellular Networks which is the 2.5G such as General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution (EDGE), High-Speed Circuit-Switched Data (HSCSD) and so on. This upgrade increase bandwidth needed to support a diverse variety of new applications including large email messages resourceful web browsing, navigation, basic multimedia faxing and different data at typical dialup speed. This generation of network become popular and supported many firm’s workers. Carriers continuously competing to add further enhancement to the new generation of Networks and from as a result we have the third generation (3G) with increased bandwidth to DSL with range of 144 Kbps to 2+Mbps are produced to provide support for more demanding multimedia applications such as video conferencing, voice over (VOIP), full motion video and streaming music to support television programs (satellite radio) and faster file downloads. GSM IT is standard mobile telephone system used across Europe and created in 1982. Global system for mobile communication (GSM) is one of the second generation (2G) of mobile Networks promoted by the GSM association, became the most popular standard mobile phone in the world with over 3 billion customers in more than 212 countries. GSM is a cellular Network and this means that mobile phones connect to it by searching for cells or nearest site. GSM has five different cell sites and its presents everywhere makes international roaming very common between phones operator; also allow mobile users to use their device in many parts of the world and change carriers without changing phones. On the other hand GSM benefits Network operators who have the possibility to choose equipment from any worldwide vendors using GSM. Features of GSM are: Low cost alternative to voice calls. Text messaging. Worldwide emergency telephone number (112/999), which connects international travellers to emergency service without knowing the local emergency service number. The GSM standard enhanced their services adding the general pocket radio service (GPRS), higher speed data transmission using enhanced data rates for GSM evolution (EDGE). GSM Network operates in a number of different frequency ranges with continuously enhanced full rate coder-decoder (CODEC). One of the key features of GSM is the SIM card or subscriber identity model, which contains the user’s subscription information and phone book. Finally the GSM system and service are governed by ETSI standard, which is a European telecommunication service institute. BTS BSC MSC GMSC VLR HLR Access Network MS BSS SMSS OMC EIR AUC OMSS ISDNPSTN GSM Sub Systems architecture GSM is a part of 2nd Generation systems. GSM’s purpose was to provide a circuit switched telephony service to mobile users. GSM uses Time Division Multiple Access. GSM has a different core network than 2.5 Generation and 3rd Generation infrastructure. The Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) or Synchronous Digital Network (SONET) standards provide a conventional transmission line in fixed connections as like from BSS to SMSS interfaces. Inside of the core network, Mobile Application Part signalling (MAP) is used. Functionality of Various Modules of the GSM System There are three subsystems in GSM network .These are: Base Station Subsystems (BSS) Switching and Management Subsystems (SMSS) Operation and Maintenance Subsystems (OMSS) Base Station Subsystems (BSS) In GSM networks, the access network plays a very important role to connect terminals to the network. The access network BSS is connected to the core network. The main purpose of BSS is to set the connection between a Mobile Station and the Base Station. The first component of a BSS network is the Base Transceiver Station (BTS), which is responsible from air interface and creating a bridge between the network and the Mobile Station (MS). The second component is the Base Station Controller (BSC), which is responsible from all the Base Transceiver Stations (BTS). Simply it is responsible to allocate and release channels at air interface. Base Station Subsystems are connected to SMSS and OMSS. Switching and Management Subsystems (SMSS) SMSS is divided into two components. These are Mobile Switching Centre (MSC) and Gateway Mobile Switching Centre (GMSC). MSC is responsible for all the base stations which are connected onto Mobile Switching Centre (MSC) over Base Station Controller (BSC). The GMSC is responsible from the external fixed network line. Whenever there is a phone call, it comes in or goes out from GMSC. All the incoming calls are directed to Home Location Register (HLR) to detect and look at the profile of subscriber in order to determine if the subscriber is able to make a phone call or not . If the call is accepted it goes to MSC, then from MSC the call goes into Visitor Location Register (VLR), VLR knows the location of mobile stations. Simply we can say that the VLR is responsible from the access network and also from MSC too. Operation and Maintenance Subsystems (OMSS) Operation and Maintenance Subsystems (OMSS) is mainly responsible for the security of the network. For example, if the phone is stolen or if the subscriber didn’t pay his bill. One of the important data bases in OMSS are Equipment Identity Register (EIR) and the Authentication Centre (AUC). Ref 11 wiki Universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS) Universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS) is one of the third generation (3G) mobile telecommunication technologies, which is also being designed in a (4G) technology. The name UMTS is introduced by ETSI and is usually used in Europe but adapt other names outside the continent, instructed by 3GPP and is a part of a global ITU IMT-2000 Standard. The most common form of UTMS Network uses Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (IMT direct spread) as the underlying air interface. The idea that lies behind the UMTS is to create a network component which is close to GSM/GPRS and also to be able to operate under this existing GSM/GPRS Network (GERAN). UMTS has an additional Access Network to GERAN. All the components in this new access network are totally different than the components in GERAN access network. As it is mentioned before UMTS can work with both Circuit Switch (2G) and Packet Switch domain (2.5G 3G), therefore there are two access networks. One of these is called Radio Access Network (GERAN) and the second one is called UMTS Terrestrial Access Network (UTRAN). Showing UTRAN infrastructure The GSM network is a circuit switched network, which means, that there are no IP, high data rate or multimedia messages. UTRAN is a packet switched network, where everything is based on IP address, high data rate and many other facilities are available. In GSM infrastructure, we have got a Mobile Station (MS), Base Transceiver Station (BTS) and Base Station Controller (BSC). But this infrastructure is totally different in UTRAN infrastructure. In UTRAN, there is user equipment (UE) which is the same as Mobile Station in GERAN/BSS. Another component is Node B (NB). The Node B is the base station as BTS and this Node B (NB) is controlled by Radio Network Controller (RNC). RNC is the same as BSC in GERAN/BSS. The main differences are higher data rates, enhanced security, new protocols and signalization for enhanced service factors. These are all provided by the new components in an access network of UTRAN/RNC. UMTS there are two core networks and two access networks. The advantage of UMTS is that it is very flexible. UMTS supports both circuit switch and Packet Switch Networks. One core network is designed for CS domain and the other one is designed for PS domain. Circuit switch is for the old generation mobiles but still in use. CS domain is not based on IP; we can simply say that CS domain is needed for GSM network. Packed switch domain is based on internet protocol (IP) and has different new protocol and signalling. PS domain enables high speed data rate as a result of this is that video messaging and all these other internet based and high speed data rates can be obtained. PS domain is needed for GPRS and UMTS. In UTRAN/RNS, user wants to make a call. In this case the user equipment (UE) searches for the nearest Node B and sets the connection. Once the connection is set the call is transferred from Node B (NB) to Radio Network Controller (RNC), From RNC the call goes to PS domain Core Network in GERAN/BSS. Mobile Station (MS) searches for the nearest Base Transceiver Station (BTS) and from here the MS is directed to BSC, if the call is IP based from BSC then the call will be directed to PS domain core network, if the call is not IP based than it goes to CS Domain core network. UMTS Block Architecture Iub – This interface happens between the Node B and RNC. RNC is using I-ub interface to control one or more Node B. The I-ub interface is standardized interface; there is also a signalling protocol which uses NBAP. Iur – This interface happens between the Radio Network Controllers (RNC). Iur helps the RNC to pass its information or data to another RNC. After this process, the user equipment is transferred to new RNC; the signalling protocol uses Radio Network Subscriber Application part (RNSAP). There are two Iu interface for both PS and CS core networks, one for Iu CS another one is for Iu PS. Iu CS This interface happens between UTRAN/RNS and the circuit switch core network domain. Iu-CS carries voice and signalling between UTRAN/RNS and PS domain core network. The signalling protocol is called RANAP. Iu PS This interface happens between UTRAN/RNS and the packet switch core network domain. This core network is designed for UMTS and GPRS. Iu–PS carries voice and signalling between UTRAN/RNS and PS domain core networks. The signalling protocol is RANAP.

The Downfall Of Macbeth In Mac :: essays research papers

People and ideas can greatly affect the outcome of a person's life, determining whether the outcome will be successful or disastrous. Decisions and actions can also influence outcome. This is the case in Macbeth. Many factors cause the ruin of Macbeth and for that reason, all the blame for his downfall cannot be placed on Macbeth himself, despite the fact that he is the one that commits or has people commit the murders which lead to his downfall. Lady Macbeth's encouragement and convincing lead Macbeth to take the first step towards his destruction. The witches and their prophecies are equally accountable, since the witches reveal their predictions to Macbeth, giving him a glimpse into his future. This glimpse represents the beginning of the end of his life. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, as well as the witches and their prophecies are all responsible for Macbeth's downfall.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  The witches are responsible for the downfall of Macbeth because they are the ones which reveal the prophecies to Macbeth. 1. Witch. All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Glamis! 2. Witch. All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, Thane of Cawdor! 3. Witch. All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be King here- after!1 If Macbeth had never encountered the witches, they would never have revealed the prophecies to him. He would have become the Thane of Cawdor, and he would never have even considered the idea of making himself the King of Scotland. It would have remained a fantasy that would probably never have come true in the way that it did. The witches are the ones who allow Macbeth to discover his future, and by doing this, they give him the opportunity to consider making the prophecy come true. The only way to do this is to murder Duncan, the present King of Scotland. At first he is reluctant to do so. Lady Macbeth points out that he has the perfect opportunity, since the King will be spending the night at their castle, Inverness. Macbeth's conscience, however, is holding him back from committing the murder. He's here in double trust: First, as I am his kinsman and his subject, Strong both against the deed; then as his host, Who should against his murderer shut the door. Not bear the knife myself. (I. Vii. ll 12-16) He realizes that he has a responsibility to Duncan to protect him from a murderer and not to actually murder Duncan himself. Macbeth is also supposed to be loyal to the king, especially since he is a relative and a subject.

Kristine Bartasavich My first day of Childbirth Education class was January 17th. The teacher first started out the class with any questions we had. Question such as if there is any other calcium supplements you could take instead of drinking milk like viactive. She also asked how we were feeling at that point in our pregnancy. A lot of people had the same feeling; they were scared about the labor. After we all talked she should us a video of women giving birth. During the video we saw woman who had their waters broken by a tool that looked like a crochet nettle. Another had an internal monitor were a wire was put onto the babies head to keep a better track of the heart rate. As we watch the teacher passed around the things that were being used in the video.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  During my second day of class we learn breathing techniques and the option of anesthesia. We first learn the deep breathing technique that would relaxes us during our contractions. The deep breathing is breathing in through your nose and letting it out slowly through your mouth. When contractions begin and end we are supposed to take a deep cleansing breath witch is like deep breathing but breathing out normally at the end. We also learned high chest breathing where you take a cleaning breath if you have time inhale, then exhale as you say â€Å"Hout†. Are partners also learned how to help relax us by talking to each other and eye contact or by a massage. If the breathing dose not help and are at lest 6cm dilated then you can get Anesthesia witch is inserted into the back with a large nettle. A tube is taped to your back and anesthesia is injected into it through out your labor to num the lower half of you.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  For our third class we learned about cesarean birth. This only takes place if the mother or baby are going to be harmed and could die. An incision is made through the wall of the abdomen and the uterus.

Cuban Missle Crisis Essay -- essays research papers

Cuban Missile Crisis Nikita Khrushchev and the Cuban Missile Crisis The Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962 was the closest the world ever came to full-scale nuclear war. When the Soviet Union placed offensive nuclear missiles in Cuba, President Kennedy interpreted the act as one of hostility that would not be tolerated. However, the situation was blown way out or proportion by the president, American media, and ultimately the citizens of the United States. The Soviet Premier, Nikita Khrushchev, was reacting to the Bay of Pigs Invasion of Cuba, US Missile installations along the Turkey/Soviet border, and the clear anti-Communist policy of the United States. Khrushchev was born in Kalinovka in southwestern Russia. He was raised in a poor family whose income depended solely on the coal mining job of his father. In 1918 he joined the Bolsheviks and attended a Communist school the following year. He moved to Moscow in 1929 and began working for the Communist government. He gained much praise and advanced quickly. B y 1939, he was a member of the Politburo. He became Secretary of the of the Central Committee in 1951. After Stalin died in 1953, the USSR went through two more premiers before Khrushchev came to power in 1958. As Premier, Khrushchev publicly condemned the terror filled reign of Stalin. Stalin continually pushed for domination. Several Eastern European countries united with the USSR under Stalin’s reign and millions of innocent people were slain. Stalin also restricted Soviet citizens personal liberties to previously unheard of measures. Khrushchev was a completely different ruler. He acridly criticized Stalin’s crimes against humanity and began a rapid process known as destalinization. This entailed destroying statues, pictures, or images of Stalin and renaming most things previously named for Stalin. Khrushchev also restored many of the personal liberties that Stalin had taken away. He let political prisoners free, restored much freedom of thought, and restored freed om of the press. He increased production in factories and placed a strong emphasis on the Soviet space program. Although he had little pity for small, weak Europe and Asian countries, he worked to avoid war with Western nations. He even called for a â€Å"peaceful coexistence† with the United States. Khrushchev, despite being communist, was concerned for the welfare of his country and did no... ...ve the missiles if the US missiles were also removed. This created intense public opposition to the Soviet leader as he was made out to be much more militant than he actually was. He was simply fighting fire with fire, but the government and media prevented the public from having the truth. It looks almost like a blatant attempt to manipulate the American public by over-dramatizing a situation for which US government was predominately responsible. Kennedy threatened invasion and he would have had support of the entire nation if he had proceeded with this plan. Khrushchev obviously didn’t want war as he eventually agreed to remove the missiles and allow the US to have a nuclear advantage. Why would Khrushchev agree to remove the missiles without any US promise to remove their missiles or not to invade Cuba? The answer is obvious. Khrushchev did not want war with the United States. He was a vast improvement over Stalin as a Premier and had restored much freedom to his countr y. He wasn’t a mad killer like Stalin and simply wanted to protect the citizens of his country, unlike Stalin had. The US government, however, wanted the media and public to think otherwise. They succeeded.

A question arises as to how governments

Employment is important for every individual. Employment is a source of income whether it is a private job or a government job. Depending on education, experience and caliber, individuals are offered jobs in specific cadres. Every job carries certain responsibilities whether it is a labor job, clerical job or a senior management job. There are certain management principles that are required to be practiced   for every employee at every level of job functioning. Government and businesses cannot function without people and in fact efficient employees are the greatest asset for organizations to grow towards profit and development. A question arises as to how governments have a role to play in private sector. The answer to this question is, in order to bring transparency in private sector businesses, there are certain legal enactments i.e. Employment relations Act 2004, Companies Act, Corporate Insolvency Law and many other legal rules for every purpose of public or private sector.   T hese enactments contain rules and regulations which can be referred whenever there is a requirement for fulfilling a provision. For instance Employment Relations Act 2004 states about employee and employer relations and how these have to be maintained which is required to be followed by both private sector and public sector, which reduces a number of conflicts and disputes that could occur without these legal rules. The relation of employee and employer is slightly a difficult task to manage with, and at one point of time, appears much easier depending on the situation.   However, every employee and employer have to be careful with the jobs being held with in respective organizations. There are many human resource management books which detail and discuss about employee and employer relations within office environment as well with office related aspects of management. Management of relation involves both personal manners as well treating others with respect. In management, there are a lso barriers of culture, origin of a person and much in respect of working environment. Especially in industrial sector, where there are quite a number of workers and who carry grievances or demands in paying high salaries, asking for more number of leisure hours or bonus payments etc., The skill and efficiency of management is evident in handling trade unions of industries.Trade unions are very tough to deal with and when the demands of union are not met with, closure of factories, stopping production or working on strike, or slow production and such other activities are undertaken. Therefore, management of industries have to be extremely careful with industrial workers.Governments in order to assist industries have enacted Employment Relations Act 2004. This Act specially deals with labor laws and trade union rights.  Ã‚   UK government also introduced Employment Bill 2007 – 2008 which covers all aspects of employment law. This would further improve the effectiveness of e mployment law which would benefit employers, trade unions, individuals and public sector.   It also protects workers and encourages law-abiding businesses.Dispute resolutions is one area which is always required in workplaces.   In this regard, the Bill details about statutory procedures and related provisions about dismissal cases.   Apart from the above, the Bill clarifies about National Minimum Wage and which imposes penalties on non-compliance methods in respects of payment of salaries, calculation of arrears and also strengthens employment agencies.

Second Chance? Illegal Immigrants

Illegal Immigration has been a rising controversial problem among policy makers. There are 11 million immigrants that currently reside in the United States. They immigrated to this nation to seek a new life, a job, and a brighter future, but obtaining a citizenship won’t be on the same level as immigrating here. One wrong step would lead them to deportation. I believe that illegal immigrants should be given a chance to become U. S. citizens. This is due to several reasons: (1) Families that have been previously separated by deportation can reunite. (2) Illegal Immigrants contribute to the economy. (3) Immigration is a human right. These reasons proves that illegal immigrants should be given a second chance. According to government records in 2011, approximately 200,000 parents has been deported from the United States because they did not have a citizenship. The government has teared many childrens from their parents and countless families apart. Childrens have been traumatized of this. These illegal immigrants should be given a second chance of obtaining a citizenship instead of staying deported because of traffic violations and other minor transgressions. One such case was when a Mexican immigrant named Felipe Montes was deported from North Carolina. He left behind three children and a wife. Eventually he won but he had to go to Mexico with them. This was all just because he had a bunch of traffic violations. Illegal Immigrants also contribute to the economy as well to the government. Offering to get paid low wages, the immigrants help companies compete with low priced products from other companies. By granting citizenship on the illegal immigrants, the tax revenue would also increase by 4. 5 billion dollars in a span of three years according to the Congressional Budget Office. This would be a big aid to the economy as well to the government. It would also as well increase the labor force as more people retire and this would benefit the economy preventing lack of labor force. Immigration should be a right inherited from humanity. Just as we are allowed to breath and eat, we should be allowed to immigrate. It should be a right entitled to us automatically to have freedom. The constitution says that all men should have freedom but this issue on illegal immigrants completely defies it. This law is not even based on if you have citizenship or not, it said all men. This is a reason why they should also not be deported. In conclusion, I believe that illegal immigrants should be given a chance to obtain a citizenship. It is unfair that they should be left out on the freedom that everyone should be entitled to.
